
PHNOM PENH — KB PRASAC Bank Plc., one of Cambodia’s leading commercial banks committed to providing seamless everyday financial solutions, and the American University of Phnom Penh (AUPP), Cambodia’s premier American-style university, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the morning of 29 July 2026, to establish a strategic partnership aimed at supporting education, developing future talent, and strengthening collaboration between academia and industry.
The MoU was signed by the management teams of both institutions in the presence of senior executives, faculty members, staff, and guests.
Through this partnership, KB PRASAC Bank and AUPP will collaborate across several strategic areas, including internship and volunteer opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students, joint conferences, seminars, workshops, and educational events, as well as other cooperative initiatives that contribute to developing Cambodia’s next generation of professionals.
Under the agreement, AUPP will offer a tuition fee discount to eligible KB PRASAC Bank employees who enroll their children at AUPP and AUPP Liger Leadership Academy. The same tuition discount will also apply to eligible KB PRASAC Bank employees pursuing Master’s degree programs at AUPP, subject to the university’s admission requirements and academic policies.
In return, KB PRASAC Bank will provide AUPP with preferential banking services, including special service fees and preferential interest rates for eligible banking products and services. The two institutions will also explore additional international cooperation and exchange opportunities in the future.

Dr. Matthew Schenk, Interim President of AUPP welcomed the partnership and expressed confidence that the collaboration would provide valuable educational opportunities for students and staff while strengthening industry engagement and practical learning experiences.
In addition to educational collaboration, AUPP will use its best efforts to utilize KB PRASAC Bank’s banking products and services and promote the Bank’s financial solutions to students, faculty, and staff through mutually agreed communication and engagement activities where appropriate.
The partnership demonstrates both institutions’ shared commitment to fostering academic excellence, professional development, innovation, and sustainable human capital development, contributing to Cambodia’s continued economic growth and digital transformation.
