Job Location:
- Head Office, Phnom Penh
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in executing the approved risk-based financial audit plan.
- Perform financial audit fieldwork to test the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial statements.
- Test internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and document results for review.
- Prepare audit working papers, draft findings, and supporting analyses in accordance with Internal Audit standards.
- Support follow-up reviews by verifying the implementation of agreed corrective actions.
- Assist in updating audit programs and audit tools to reflect regulatory changes and enhance audit effectiveness.
- Submit completed work to the Deputy Manager or Manager of the Head Office Audit Unit.
- Perform other tasks as required by management.
Key Selection Criteria and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CAT, CPA, CIA – in progress) are an advantage.
- 1–2 years of experience in financial audit, external audit, or accounting, preferably within banking or financial institutions.
- Good understanding of banking operations, CIFRS/IFRS, and relevant NBC regulations.
- Better knowledge of internal controls and audit methodologies, with ability to apply them efficiently under guidance.
- High standards of integrity, objectivity, confidentiality, professionality and competency.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with audit team members and auditees.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with proper supervision.
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and professional skepticism skills.
- Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, listening, and reading).
