
Banteay Meanchey: Mr. Nam-Che KANG, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KB PRASAC Bank, came from Korea and personally visited KB PRASAC Bank Poipet branch and other branches located along the Cambodia-Thailand border on 7 August 2025 to meet and thank the branch staff for their hard work, resilience and sense of responsibility. Despite the recent border clashes, Poipet branch continues to operate to provide financial services to customers and the public who have been under challenging conditions The visit demonstrates the concern for the safety and well-being of employees, which remains the highest priority of KB PRASAC Bank and the consideration of the Board of Directors as well as the bank’s management.

After visiting staff at several branches, the Board of Directors and management of KB PRASAC Bank traveled to a refugee camp in O’Chrov district to provide donations to the local authorities and displaced families. In a courtesy call with authorities and representative of the refugees, the Chairman of the Board of Directors emphasized KB PRASAC Bank’s long-standing commitment to supporting Cambodian people, especially KB PRASAC Bank customers, in times of crisis. He hoped that these contributions would help temporarily ease the burden and support the people in the refugee camp. And KB PRASAC Bank remains committed to helping the people and customers for swift recovery through both financial and non-financial assistance programs.

KB PRASAC Bank is committed to the value of “growing with the community and being the first to reach out in times of need”—standing in solidarity with both staff and the wider community during this time of uncertainty.
It is also worth noting that KB PRASAC Bank has donated USD 500,000 to the Royal Government of Cambodia to help refugees and restore and develop the border areas. KB PRASAC has also been following the instructions of the National Bank of Cambodia by easing the burden on military families by completely writing off debts for customers and co-borrowers who are fallen soldiers, facilitating payments to injured soldiers and refugees, providing 100% scholarships for a 4-year bachelor’s degree to the children of fallen soldiers who are KB PRASAC customers or co-borrowers, and providing job opportunities to the children of soldiers. In addition, the management and staff of KB PRASAC Bank have brought rice donated by KB PRASAC Employee Charity Fund to the administrations of 7 provinces along the Cambodia-Thailand border to support evacuees from the battlefield and to pay tribute to the martyrs and provide financial support.
