KB PRASAC Bank Donates Half A Million US Dollars to the Royal Government of Cambodia for Refugee Relief and Restoration and Development of Border Areas

KB PRASAC Bank has donated USD 500,000 to the Royal Government of Cambodia through Techo Fund for Border Protection to assist refugees and participate in the restoration and development of border areas following the ceasefire in the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.

In a brief meeting in the morning of 4 August 2025, Mr. OUM Sam Oeun, President and CEO of KB PRASAC Bank, personally handed over the funds to His Excellency Kim Bunthan, Minister Attached to Prime Minister, at the Prime Minister’s Office.

In return, His Excellency Kim Bunthan conveyed the warmest greetings and gratitude from Samdech Techo, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Prime Minister, and the Cambodian people for KB PRASAC Bank’s humanitarian spirit and continued contribution to the development of Cambodia.

In addition to the above support, KB PRASAC Bank has been helping to ease the burden of military families by completely writing off debts for customers and co-borrowers who were military soldiers who served in the battle to protect the integrity of Cambodia.

Besides above donation, KB PRASAC Bank, in a humanitarian spirit, to help ease the burden on the families of soldiers, has also completely written off debts for customers and co-borrowers who were soldiers who served in the battle to protect the integrity of Cambodia.

KB PRASAC Bank will also provide 100% scholarships for a 4-year bachelor’s degree to the children of martyrs who are KB PRASAC customers or co-borrowers from the academic year 2025 to 2030. In addition, KB PRASAC will also provide job opportunities to the children of fallen soldiers in the Cambodia-Thailand border based on their skills and capacity.

It is also worth noting that the management and employees of KB PRASAC Bank brought tons of rice, gift from KB PRASAC Employee Charity Fund, to the provincial administrations along the Cambodia-Thailand border to support the people who were evacuated from the battlefield. In addition, the leaders and employees of KB PRASAC Bank also paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and brought cash from the KB PRASAC Employee Charity Fund to support the families of the late soldiers.
