Kampong Thom-Siem Reap, 8-9-10 August 2025: Management of KB PRASAC Bank accompanied Lok Chumteav Dr. Chea Serey, Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia, along with representatives of Association of Banks in Cambodia (ABC) and Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) to visit and bring funds, gifts as rice and food to the families of fallen soldiers in Kampong Thom and Siem Reap provinces.

Lok Chumteav and the management also visited and brought valuable gifts from Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, to soldiers who are undergoing treatment at the Siem Reap Referral Hospital and the 4th Military Region Hospital in Siem Reap.

It is also worth noting that recently Chairman of the Board of Directors and Management of KB PRASAC Bank visit refugees and meet with branch staff along the Cambodia-Thailand border. Banteay Meanchey: Mr. Nam-Che KANG, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KB PRASAC Bank, came from Korea and personally visited KB PRASAC Bank Poipet branch and other branches located along the Cambodia-Thailand border on 7 August 2025 to meet and thank the branch staff for their hard work, resilience and sense of responsibility. Despite the recent border clashes, Poipet branch continues to operate to provide financial services to customers and the public who have been under challenging conditions The visit demonstrates the concern for the safety and well-being of employees, which remains the highest priority of KB PRASAC Bank and the consideration of the Board of Directors as well as the bank’s management.

KB PRASAC Bank Donates Half A Million US Dollars to the Royal Government of Cambodia for Refugee Relief and Restoration and Development of Border Areas

KB PRASAC Bank has donated USD 500,000 to the Royal Government of Cambodia through Techo Fund for Border Protection to assist refugees and participate in the restoration and development of border areas following the ceasefire in the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict.

In a brief meeting in the morning of 4 August 2025, Mr. OUM Sam Oeun, President and CEO of KB PRASAC Bank, personally handed over the funds to His Excellency Kim Bunthan, Minister Attached to Prime Minister, at the Prime Minister’s Office.

KB PRASAC Bank Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for a Kindergarten Building Initiated by the National Bank of Cambodia

The groundbreaking ceremony for a kindergarten building at Sambor Primary School in Sambor village, Sambor commune, Prasat Sambor district, Kampong Thom province, was held in the afternoon of 3 July 2025, and was presided over by His Excellency Yim Leat and Her Excellency Say Sam Ath, Deputy Governors of the National Bank of Cambodia. This construction is initiated by the central bank and is funded by KB PRASAC Bank.

Mr. Oum Sam Oeun, President and Chief Executive Officer of KB PRASAC Bank, said that KB PRASAC Bank has thus far constructed 48 library and school buildings at various schools in 15 provinces in Cambodia, that are equipped with books and documents, and facilities, in line with the library standards set by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport. He added that it is important to support the education sector as only education can help our young children gain the knowledge needed to do business or get employed to make a living in the future.

H.E. Yim Leat stated that prior to groundbreaking to construct a school building at Sambor primary school, KB PRASAC Bank has already provided 48 library and school buildings to other schools to support education of young students. The kindergarten building at Sambor is expected to be completed with furnished facility in the next few months. He added that KB PRASAC Bank has received the highest approval to provide this tax payment service because, as a corporate citizen, the Bank has always been steadfast in its commitment to tax compliance and has always received letters of commendation from the head of the government on the occasion of the bank being named the highest tax paying enterprise and receiving the Gold Tax Compliance Certificate from the General Department of Taxation over the past several years.

Speaking on the occasion, His Excellency Dr. Ken Sambath, Deputy Director-General of the General Department of Taxation, highly appreciated KB PRASAC Bank for collaborating with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, especially the General Department of Taxation, to provide all types of tax collection services in response to the revenue mobilization strategy of the Public Financial Management Reform Program of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

KB PRASAC was authorized to provide this service because the bank has undergone rigorous reviews of its capabilities and qualifications, including assets, human resources, management mechanisms, information technology systems, and the strength and trust of the bank, tax compliance, and many other conditions.

The official launch of KB PRASAC Bank’s services for tax-filing transactions will bring tax-filing services closer to taxpayers and help reduce difficulties by restoring taxpayers’ trust, especially by providing convenience, saving time, and reducing past complications. The participation of taxpayers in using KB PRASAC Bank’s services for tax-filing transactions will be an important factor in strengthening tax culture, ensuring transparency and accountability of tax payments, and contributing to national development through tax payments to the state. KB PRASAC Bank Commits Another 400 Million Riels to Cambodian Red Cross

Phnom Penh, 05 May 2025: KB PRASAC Bank donated 400 million Riel to the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) in commemoration of the 162nd Anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on 8 May 2025, and the 70th Anniversary of Cambodian Red Cross, under the theme “Together for Healthy and Climate-Resilient Communities.”

The management of KB PRASAC Bank, said: “We are more than happy to contribute to supporting the Cambodian Red Cross in its humanitarian activities to help the most vulnerable people and those who have suffered from natural disasters and other calamities.”
